
Guided Flyfishing Walk and Wade Trips on the Arkansas River in Colorado
Wade trips are our most flexible option; we can fish small mountain streams such as the upper Arkansas River, or larger freestones such as the upper Colorado River. If slowly wading a meandering meadow streams is your cup of tea then the South Platte may be just the place for you. From aggressive browns in the middle fork of the Platte, to the tailwater water fish of the aptly named “Dream Stream”, the South Platte has something for everyone. Half-day trips span 4 hours, while full-day trips span a minimum of 8 hours. WALK & WADE FULL DAY Half-day walk & wade trips are perfect for the novice that wants to learn about fly-fishing. A professional guide will be with you to help you learn the basics of fly-fishing, knots, entomology, and how to read the river. Experienced anglers that prefer wading will be able to fish private water and public water and tap into the guide's knowledge of the Arkansas River. 1 Angler: $215, 2 Anglers: $275, 3 Anglers: $375 Price includes complimentary use of The Colorado Angler's fly rods, reels, waders and boots. Lunch and non-alcoholic refreshments are included on all Full-Day float trips. Prices do not include fishing license or flies. Price does not include a 5.25% parks usage fee that will be added to the total upon payment.
